We are looking for a motivated junior researcher with the following profile:

• You hold an MSc degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. ecology, biology, forestry, environmental science)
• You have experience in statistical modelling and meta-analysis and you are skilled in handling and analysing large datasets.
• You have affinity with life-cycle assessments or other large-scale environmental assessments
• You are familiar with open-source programming languages commonly used in environmental research (notably R and/or Python).
• You have a drive for policy-relevant scientific research that contributes to solving environmental issues and sustainability challenges.
• You are enthusiastic to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Dutch is the working language at PBL. English is spoken in international project teams. Therefore, you are expected to be fluent in English (written and spoken). A basic level of Dutch (mainly spoken) is appreciated

Training
A good landing in the organisation is very important to us. In your induction period, you will therefore be supervised by a direct colleague. She or he will be your first point of contact in the period in which you get acquainted with the organisation. In addition, PBL has an introduction programme for new employees which focuses on the role and position of the planning office, our working methods and the work culture.
