Org Unit  AFO    Duty Station  El-Fasher, Darfur, SUDAN (non-family )    Duration    1 Year     Opening Date    December 02 nd , 2009     Closing Date    January 04 th , 2010        Background    The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) Sudan Operations Center (SDOC) is engaged in  the implementation of physical infrastructure projects in Sudan, under various donor and the Government  works programs. SDOC has signed an agreement with the Department for International Development  (DFID) of UK, to design and implement drought mitigation infrastructure works as part of the Integrated  Water Resources Management (IWRM) Plan for Darfur. The works will be implemented in a partnership  with the State Government Authorities, who has the mandate to operate and maintain the IWRM  implemented infrastructure projects. SDOC would be responsible for the design, tendering, contract  administration and the construction
